Foot and ankle specialist joins Rizk Orthopedics

We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Vikram Bala to the Rizk Orthopedics team.

Dr. Bala is a board-certified, fellowship-trained podiatric foot and ankle surgeon. He specializes in the treatment of all injuries and chronic conditions affecting the feet and ankles - from the simplest to the most complex. Utilizing the most advanced surgical and non-surgical treatment options, Dr. Bala helps patients put pain behind them and get back to doing the things they want and need to do.

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Bala completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland. He then went on to Temple University's School of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his degree as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at the University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, where he served as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Bala pursued fellowship training in advanced reconstruction in Northeast Ohio, focusing on complex rearfoot and ankle deformity correction and reconstruction, with emphasis on total ankle replacement, minimally invasive techniques, sports medicine, trauma, and arthroscopy.

Dr. Bala has been in private practice, treating patients here in Jacksonville, since 2021.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Bala enjoys traveling, spending time on the water, playing golf and recreational basketball, and following his favorite teams, including the Maryland Terrapins, Philadelphia Eagles, and Philadelphia 76ers.
