Traveling Patients

Many patients from other states and even countries choose the Dr. Ralph Rizk for their care. For this reason we have a dedicated office contact to help you coordinate you care. Please email us at firstcoast.laurel@gmail.com to get started.

You can expect: a reasonable estimate of appointment times, number of appointments required for your procedure, date ranges for your travel plans, help with local accommodations and directions, as well as assistance transferring your after care to your own hometown.

Mike Davidson Family Overnight Center

St. Vincent’s HealthCare is pleased to offer low-cost accommodations for patients’ family members, individuals receiving extended outpatient treatment, and others who need to remain close to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, St. Catherine Labouré Manor, or St. Luke’s Hospital. 
 

The Overnight Guest Center is located on the St. Vincent’s Medical Center campus in Riverside, approximately 10 miles from St. Luke’s. It is beautifully situated in St. Vincent’s River House on the river at the end of King Street.
 

Room Amenities Include:

  • Two double beds

  • Private bath

  • Access to common kitchen and conversation areas

  • Handicap-accessible entry through the terrace entrance

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Please note that St. Vincent’s cannot take advance reservations or guarantee room availability.


Check-In & Check-Out

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Check-in at the Cashier’s Office at St. Vincent’s Medical Center

  • After hours and weekends: Check-in and check-out are handled through the Emergency Department at St. Vincent’s Medical Center

Your questions, answered.

  • If you are a patient of the Heekin Clinic, you will need to complete a records request form found here so that we may obtain your records. If you are a patient of any other clinic you may request a release form by calling their office.

  • We have release forms in our office; otherwise you can fax a request that includes your personal information as well as information on where records are to be sent.

  • Yes, we are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call our main number, 904-731-3131 for assistance. Please note that prescriptions are refilled during office hours only.

  • We generally do not require a physician referral to our office for the purpose of scheduling an appointment with one of our physicians, unless this is a requirement by your insurance carrier.

  • While X-rays are generally not required, all MRIs or other image studies on CD or film that are pertinent to the part of body being examined need to be brought in with the patient.

  • With a 48-hour notice, you may call your doctor’s assistant or you may call your pharmacy and they will request a refill from your doctor. Please note that Schedule II drugs cannot be refilled by phone and require a paper prescription.

  • Yes and Yes. Please park on the 6th floor of the DePaul garage and call the office in advance if you require assistance getting into the building.
